Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 and the severally severing 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 As justification or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That will be the Day of Reckoning. Gathered will be (you) and the earlier (generations). 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
