Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 which then blow tempestuously 2 By those which cause earth's vegetation to revive; 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known calculated term. 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm, and tall mountains; and have given you to drink sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
