Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 To clear or to warn. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are carried away as dust, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40

When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
