Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead? 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
