In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the Messengers are gathered to their time appointed; 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Those who take heed for themselves and fear God, will be amidst shade and springs of water, 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Then We facilitated your birth. How well do We calculate! 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40

عند قراءة القرآن الملون في وضعية اللغة العربية المرسومة بالأحرف الإنجليزية، قد لا تلاحظ وجود منظومة برمجية مصممة لمطابقة متطلبات علامات الوقف في النص العربي الأصلي. فكما تعلم، يحتوي القرآن على خمسة أنواع رئيسية من علامات الوقف. (1) وقف لازم، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي نقطة وقف. (2) وقف جائز مع الوقف أولى، حيث يستخدم الرسم الإنجليزي فاصلة قد تظهر باحتمال الثلثين. When reading the Colorful Quran in English transliterated Arabic mode, you may not notice that there is an algorithm designed to match the pause requirements of the original Arabic scripture, (waqf signs). As you may know, the original Arabic Quran has five main types of pauses, (waqf) signs. (1) Compulsory break, where the transliteration uses a full stop. (2) Optional pause with the preference for pausing, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a probability of two thirds. (3) Optional stop with an equal preference for pausing and resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a half-half probability. (4) Optional pause with the preference for resuming, where the transliteration uses a comma that may appear with a chance of one third. (5) Attraction pause, also called hugging, or (mu’anaka) sign, where it is compulsory to pause at either one of two nearby positions, but not both; where the transliteration inserts a comma at either one of the two locations with a half-half probability.
