Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
