Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 To the day of decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 This is how We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any craft, try that craft upon Me. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
