Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 separating one from another, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 Till a limit known? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
