Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 Then separate them, one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 Thereafter We shall cause to follow them the latter ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the Day they shall not speak, 35 Nor given leave to make excuses. 36 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
