Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day has the term [of all this] been set? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 And We shall cause those of later times to follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till a limit known? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
