Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 storming tempestuously 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
