Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And the winds that blow violently 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 separating one from another, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
