Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 excusing or warning, 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 for an appointed time? 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth (as a place) to draw together. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 place on it high mountains and provide you with fresh water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 which neither gives shade nor protects one from the flames. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
