Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 separating one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 which neither provides (cooling) shade nor protection against the flames; 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
