Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that whatever with which you have been warned will inevitably come to pass. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 and yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
