Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 and place it in a secure place 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 The living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
