Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By the winds sent forth with beneficence. 1 storming tempestuously 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 In this wise We do with the culprits. 18 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 If now you have any strategy, use it against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
