Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 Assuredly, what ye are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known extent. 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor be allowed to proffer excuses! 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
