Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds (or angels or the Messengers of Allah) sent forth one after another. 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 and raise (clouds) and scatter them around, 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the Mujrimun (polytheists, disbelievers, sinners, criminals, etc.)! 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 which We then let remain in [the womb's] firm keeping 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
