Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, The Most Gracious, The Dispenser of Grace
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 And by the winds that scatter clouds and rain; 3 separating one from another, 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 The Day of Judgement. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 Thus did We Plan and how excellent is Our planning! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 For the living and the dead among you? 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 40
