Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 BEHOLD, all that you are told to expect will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is riven asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and let the latter follow them? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you out of a humble fluid 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 (Or) as it might be camels of bright yellow hue. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not speak (during some part of it), 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
