In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 separating one from another, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 [promising] freedom from blame or [offering] a warning! 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the lights of the stars are put out. 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 When the mountains are scattered (to the winds) as dust; 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 for an appointed term? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 and if you [think that you] have a subterfuge left, try to outwit Me!" 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40

How does the memorization exercise algorithm work? At the lowest level 0, all words are visible. While the highest level 9 hides all words. What about at mid-level, like 3, for example? You might think that the algorithm hides precisely 3 out of every nine words. Not quite! At level 3, each word has a 3 out of 9 chance to hide, and 6 out of 9 to be visible. In other words, it is possible, but highly unlikely, for all words at level 3 to be hidden, or, that all of them to be visible! Also, at mid-levels, and in proportion to the difficulty level, hideouts can be partially incomplete or transparent so that words may be partially visible underneath.
