Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 excusing or warning, 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 and the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the men of old (for their evil)? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 and as bright as a herd of yellow camels. 33 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 Nor will it be open to them to put forth pleas. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
