In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 Indeed, what you are promised is to occur. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 “Move towards what you used to deny!” 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be the Day on which they will not (be able to) utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
