In the name of Allah, the Merciful, the Compassionate
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 By those who winnow with a winnowing, 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 until an appointed time? 22 Then We facilitated (your birth). How well do We calculate! 23 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 and yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 40
