Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 So when the stars are made to lose their light, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 So shall We make later generations to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Have We not made the earth to draw together to itself, 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said:) "Depart ye to that which ye used to reject as false! 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 unshading against the blazing flame 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 which seem as though they are yellow-coloured camels. 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
