Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 And those that revive by quickening, 3 then winnow them thoroughly, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 when heaven shall be split 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a humble fluid, 20 And We placed it in a firm lodging 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We decreed. How excellent are We as decreers! 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 28 [They will be told], "Proceed to that which you used to deny. 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 "Indeed it throws about sparks (huge) as Forts, 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor will they be permitted to offer any excuses. 36 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
