Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 As justification or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 Would that you knew about the Day of Judgment! 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 28 Proceed now towards that which you were wont to deny as false; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 (Which yet is) no relief nor shelter from the flame. 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, then plan against Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
