Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Most Beneficent, the Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 Then I swear by the angels who bring down the revelation, 5 to provide excuses for some and to give warnings to others: 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart unto the shadow three branched: 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 40
