Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
Allah - beginning with the name of - the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
By the emissary winds, (sent) one after another 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 Then the stars will lose their light. 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 for an appointed time? 22 Thus We arranged. How excellent is Our arranging! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 for the living and the dead? 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 40
