Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 When the stars shall be extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Have We not destroyed the earlier generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 As such shall We deal with the sinners. 18 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 Till an appointed term, 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 'Depart unto that which ye were wont to belie. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
