Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 As justification or warning, 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and when the Messengers' time is set, 11 If one asks, "To which day have such calamitous events been postponed?" 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 and place it in a secure place 21 For a known extent. 22 We determined; excellent determiners are We. 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And made therein lofty mountains, and given you to drink of sweet water? 27 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Depart unto the shadow falling threefold, 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were tawny camels. 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 This is the Day of Judgement; We will have assembled you and the former peoples. 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 40
