Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the winds sent forth in swift succession, 1 Which then blow violently in tempestuous Gusts, 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 The Messengers will receive their appointments. 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 On that day, woe will be to those who have rejected God's revelations! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients, 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Even thus shall We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 till a known term decreed? 22 We determined, how excellent a Determiner are We! 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a repository 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And placed therein high mountains and given you to drink sweet water therein? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Lo! it throweth up sparks like the castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you are cunning, then try your cunning against Me! 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
