Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 by (the angels) spreading (the words of God) far and wide, 3 and the severally severing 4 And those [angels] who deliver a message 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and when the mountains are scattered like dust, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 For the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Created We you not of water despicable, 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shading nor availing against the flame. 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor are they suffered to put forth excuses. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
