Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 And [by] the winds that spread [clouds] 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 to excuse some and warn others: 6 Surely that which ye are promised will befall. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time comes for raising the little girls (buried alive) -- 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth. 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 19 Did We not create you of a mean water, 20 Then We lodged you in a secure place (the womb) 21 till a known term decreed? 22 See that We had the power to do so. Great indeed is Our power to do what We will. 23 Ah woe, that Day! to the Rejecters of Truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a container 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed therein lofty, firmly set mountains and have given you to drink sweet water. 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 which - behold! - will throw up sparks like [burning] logs, 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have any plot to devise against Me, then devise it. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
