Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 And by the winds that blow violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 and then cast (Allah's) remembrance (in people's hearts), 5 By way of excuse or warning. 6 Indeed what you are promised, will surely befall. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what day is it timed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day unto the beliers 15 Did We not destroy the earlier people? 16 Then We will follow them with the later ones. 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Did We not make the earth a receptacle, 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have brought you and the men of old together. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
