Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Entirely Merciful, the Especially Merciful
By oath of those that are sent, one after the other. (The verses of the Holy Qur’an or the angels or the winds). 1 By the raging hurricanes, 2 Consider these [messages] that spread [the truth] far and wide, 3 thus separating [right and wrong] with all clarity, 4 And by the angels that bring the revelations to the Messengers, 5 To excuse or to warn, 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the sky is split apart. 9 when the mountains shall be scattered 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 To what day is the doom fixed? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what do you know, what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 19 Have We not created you from a fluid (held) despicable?- 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 For We do determine (according to need); for We are the best to determine (things). 23 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 and did We not firmly fix towering mountains on it and give you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 affording neither shade, nor protection from the flames, 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 that Day on which they will not [be able to] utter a word, 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 This is the Day of Decision; We have gathered you and all the earlier men. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 40
