Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
50 verses, revealed in Mecca after The Backbiter (Al-Hummazah) before Q (Qaaf)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By the (Winds) sent forth one after another (to man's profit); 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 by (the angels) who make a clear distinction between right and wrong 4 and those (angels) dropping, reminding 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 for what Day has this been appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 15 Did We not destroy the former peoples? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 till a known term decreed? 22 Thus We have determined the stages of development and Our power to determine is excellent indeed. 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not caused the earth to hold within itself 25 for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and filled you with sweet water? 27 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 28 "Go to what you used to deny; 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily! It (Hell) throws sparks (huge) as Al-Qasr [a fort or a Qasr (huge log of wood)], 32 like giant fiery ropes! 33 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 34 On that day they will not be able to speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 37 That is the Day of Judgment. We will bring you together with all the ancient peoples. 38 Now, if ye have a trick (or plot), use it against Me! 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40

قراءة القرآن مترجماً إلى الإنجليزية أو أية لغة أخرى أشبه بقراءة كتب التفسير من قراءة ترجمات حرفية.
Reading the Quran translated into English, or any other language, is more like reading books of interpretation than reading literal translations.
