Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By (the angels) sent forth with the commands of God, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 Then separate them one from another, 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 excusing or warning, 6 What is promised will surely come to pass. 7 When the stars lose their light, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 And when the mountains are made into dust and blown away. 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Sorting out. 13 And what knowest thou what the Day of Decision is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 So shall We make the later ones to follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 19 Did We not create you from a liquid disdained? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle, 25 the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 (It will be said to the disbelievers): "Depart you to that which you used to deny! 29 Depart to a triple-massing shadow 30 Neither having the coolness of the shade nor availing against the flame. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 As if they were Jimalatun Sufr (yellow camels or bundles of ropes)." 33 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 This is the Day of Decision, We have assembled both ye and the ancients. 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
