Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of God, the Most Gracious, the Most Merciful
I CALL TO WITNESS those who are sent consecutively, 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force! 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 And the scattering winds scattering. 4 By those who bring down the Reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are obliterated 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are blown away 10 And when the messengers are (all) appointed a time (to collect);- 11 To which Day has this task been deferred? 12 To the Day of Decision. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and make others settle after them in their land? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Then We placed it in a place of safety (womb), 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 We then calculated; so how excellently do We control! 23 Woe, on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 proceed towards the three-pronged shadow, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 that shoots sparks like dry faggots, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 34 They will not be able to speak that day, 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 If now ye have any wit, outwit Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 40
