Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, most benevolent, ever-merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 storming tempestuously 2 and the rain-spreading winds, 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 And those winds that bring down the remembrance. 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are collected at the appointed time, 11 For which day were they appointed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 Would that you knew what the Day of Decision is! 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy many a nation of the earlier times? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 [for] thus do We deal with such as are lost in sin. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 We then kept it in a safe place. 21 Till an appointed term, 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 for the living and for the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 "Depart you to a shadow (of Hell-fire smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 “Which neither gives shade, nor saves from the flame.” 31 Verily it shall cast forth sparks like unto a castle. 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 34 On that Day they will be speechless, 35 And they will not be permitted to put forth any excuse. 36 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 37 Such is the Day of Decision. We will gather you with the ancients. 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 40
