Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By those [winds] sent forth in gusts 1 storming tempestuously 2 By the spreading winds spreading. 3 separating one from another, 4 and those hurling a reminder 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 Then when the stars become dim; 8 when heaven shall be split 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 How will you comprehend what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 19 Did We not create you from a worthless water (semen, etc.)? 20 Which We laid up in a safe abode 21 for an appointed time? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Have We not made the earth a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 Have We not placed high mountains upon it and given you fresh water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Depart to that which you belied! 29 Proceed to that shadow, rising in three columns 30 "(Which yields) no shade of coolness, and is of no use against the fierce Blaze. 31 The fire will shoot out sparks as big as huge towers 32 sparks like to golden herds. 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 This is a Day they will not speak, 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 37 This is the Day of Judgement. We have assembled you all together with past generations. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
