In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 and then storming on with a tempest's force, 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those that distinguish distinctly, 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Most surely what you are threatened with must come to pass. 7 Thus, [it will come to pass] when the stars are effaced, 8 Heavens will rent asunder. 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 and when the messengers are brought together at the appointed time -- 11 For what day is it timed? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what can make you know what is the Day of Judgement? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the ancients? 16 We shall then send the latter after them. 17 Thus do We deal with men of sin. 18 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 19 Did We not create you from an insignificant drop of fluid 20 Then We placed it in a secure resting-place, 21 Till an appointed term, 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 for the living and the dead? 26 Set We not therein soaring mountains? Sated you with sweetest water? 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 "Depart ye to a Shadow (of smoke ascending) in three columns, 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 and throwing up sparks as huge as towers 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 Nor shall they be permitted so that they might excuse themselves. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 So if you have a plot, use it against Me (Allah)! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
