In the name of Allah, the Compassionate, the Merciful
I swear by the emissary winds, sent one after another (for men's benefit), 1 Then by oath of those that push with a strong gust. 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 and then giving forth a reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 that which you have been promised shall be fulfilled. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 And when the heaven is rent asunder, 9 The mountains will be blown away as dust. 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 For what day is that time fixed? 12 To the Day of Judgement. 13 What will explain to you what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Destroyed We not the ancients? 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus do We deal with the guilty. 18 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a known calculated term. 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 For the living and the dead, 26 And have placed therein firm and tall mountains and given you to drink of water fresh 27 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth! 28 Walk on to that which you called a lie. 29 “Move towards the shadow of the smoke having three branches.” 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 it throws spits as (high as a huge) palace, 32 As though they were camels yellow tawny. 33 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 34 This is a Day whereon they shall not be able to speak. 35 nor will they be allowed to proffer excuses. 36 Woe on that Day to those that give the lie to the Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 Woe on the day unto the beliers! 40
