Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 storming tempestuously 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 then the criterion (the verses of Koran), separating 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 to serve as an excuse or a warning. 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are extinguished, 8 and when the sky is rent asunder, 9 And when the mountains are blown away; 10 And when the messengers are brought unto their time appointed - 11 For what Day are these signs postponed? 12 To the day of decision. 13 And what shall teach thee what is the Day of Decision? 14 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 15 Destroyed We not the former folk, 16 So shall We make later (generations) follow them. 17 Thus deal We ever with the guilty. 18 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 19 Did We not create you from an abject fluid? 20 which We then placed in a secure repository 21 For a known period (determined by gestation)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 24 Did We not make the earth a storehouse? 25 for both the living and the dead? 26 And made therein mountains standing firm, lofty (in stature); and provided for you water sweet (and wholesome)? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Depart into the shadow of three masses, 30 that will offer no [cooling] shade and will be of no avail against the flame 31 It will throw out sparks as logs of wood 32 as black camels. 33 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 34 This is a day wherein they speak not, 35 nor shall they be permitted to offer excuses. 36 On that day, woe would be those who have rejected God's revelations! 37 That will be a Day of Sorting out! We shall gather you together and those before (you)! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 40
