Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By the loosed ones successively 1 by (the angels) as swift as blowing winds, 2 by the scatterers scattering 3 and the severally severing 4 And those that bring down the Reminder 5 To cut off all excuses or to warn; 6 surely, that which you have been promised is about to fall! 7 So when stars are effaced. 8 And when the heaven is opened 9 and the mountains scattered, 10 and when all the apostles are called together at a time appointed... 11 For what day is the time appointed? 12 For the Day of Distinction [between the true and the false]! 13 And what will explain to thee what is the Day of Sorting out? 14 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 Then caused the latter folk to follow after? 17 So We serve the sinners. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 then placed it in a secure repository [the womb], 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 Thus have We determined [the nature of man's creation]: and excellent indeed is Our power to determine [what is to be]! 23 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected the revelations of God! 24 Made We not the earth to be a housing 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 And We placed high mountains as anchors in it and gave you sweet water to drink. 27 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 28 Depart to that you cried was lies! 29 Go to the shadow with three ramifications, 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 Indeed hell throws up sparks like huge castles. 32 As if they were yellowish [black] camels. 33 Ruin is for the deniers on that day! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 neither be given leave, and excuse themselves. 36 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 37 That is the Day of Judgement on which We have assembled you as well as all those who went before you. 38 If you now have any conspiracy, carry it out on Me. 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
