Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
By (the wind) those sent (as horses') mane (in succession), 1 And those that strike violently, 2 Which scatter clouds to their destined places, 3 and the severally severing 4 And then by those that instil Remembrance into the hearts. 5 Whether of Justification or of Warning;- 6 surely that which you are promised is about to fall! 7 When the stars are obliterated, 8 And when the heaven is cloven asunder. 9 And when the mountains are carried away by wind. 10 and the appointed time to bring the Messengers together arrives, (then shall the promised event come to pass). 11 to what day shall they be delayed? 12 For the Day of sorting out (the men of Paradise from the men destined for Hell). 13 What do you know what the Day of Judgement is? 14 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 15 Did We not destroy the ancient people 16 and then follow them with the later folk? 17 Thus do We deal with the sinful ones. 18 On that day, woe upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 19 Did We not create you from a base fluid 20 Which We placed in a depository safe. 21 For a certain appointed time, 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle. 25 Both for the living and the dead, 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Go on towards the threefold shadow 30 [But having] no cool shade and availing not against the flame." 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 "As if there were (a string of) yellow camels (marching swiftly)." 33 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 34 This is the day they shall not speak 35 And permission shall not be given to them so that they should offer excuses. 36 Woe that Day to the deniers (of the Day of Resurrection)! 37 that Day of Distinction [between the true and the false, when they will be told]: "We have brought you together with those [sinners] of olden times; 38 So if you have a plan, plan against Me (now). 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
