Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 and by the scatterers scattering (rain) 3 And those [angels] who bring criterion 4 and by those who reveal revelations (to the prophets) 5 To end all argument or to warn. 6 Surely, what you are promised must come to pass. 7 So when the stars are extinguished, 8 The heavens split asunder, 9 The mountains reduced to dust and blown away, 10 And when the time of the Noble Messengers arrives. 11 to what day shall they be deferred? 12 one will be told, "To the Day of Distinction". 13 And what will explain to you what is the Day of sorting out? 14 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 15 Did We not destroy the former generations? 16 Then did We follow them up with later ones. 17 thus do We deal with the culprits. 18 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 19 Did We not create you from contemptible water? 20 The which We placed in a place of rest, firmly fixed, 21 For a period (of gestation), determined (according to need)? 22 And We determined [it], and excellent [are We] to determine. 23 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle 25 for the living and the dead, 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 28 Proceed to that which you denied. 29 Proceed to a shadow [of smoke] having three columns 30 "Neither shading, nor of any use against the fierce flame of the Fire." 31 Surely it sends up sparks like palaces, 32 So like golden camels." 33 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 34 That will be a Day when they shall not be able to speak. 35 Nor will it be permitted for them to make an excuse. 36 Woe, that Day, to the deniers. 37 This is the day of decision: We have gathered you and those of yore. 38 if you have a trick, try you now to trick Me!' 39 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 40
