Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Beneficent, the Merciful
By the (winds) sent forth in quick succession, 1 And those raging swiftly; 2 Then by oath of those that lift and carry. 3 Then by those that clearly differentiate the right and wrong. 4 Then spread abroad a Message, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Verily that which ye are promised is about to befall. 7 So when the stars are put out, 8 And when the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and when the mountains crumble into dust 10 And when the messengers' time has come... 11 For what Day are these (portents) deferred? 12 Upon the Day of Decision! 13 And what will convey unto thee what the Day of Decision is! - 14 Woe on that day to the rejecters. 15 Did We not destroy [so many of] those [sinners] of olden days? 16 We will now cause the later ones to follow them: 17 Thus do We deal with the criminals. 18 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 19 Did We not create you of a mean fluid, 20 that We laid within a sure lodging 21 for a term pre-ordained? 22 So We did measure, and We are the Best to measure (the things). 23 Woe on that day unto the beliers! 24 Have We not made the earth a receptacle? 25 Of the living and the dead? 26 And placed in it lofty and broad stablisers, and gave you sweet water to drink? 27 On that Day (of Judgment) woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 28 Proceed to that (the Day of Judgment) which you have rejected. 29 Proceed to a shadow rising in three columns: 30 Neither shady nor protecting against the blazing Fire. 31 Indeed, it throws sparks [as huge] as a fortress, 32 Seeming like yellow camels. 33 Woe on that Day unto those who give the lie to the truth 34 This is a day in which they will not be able to speak. 35 nor shall they be given permission, so that they can apologize. 36 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 If you have any plans, use them. 39 On that day, woe would be upon those who have rejected God's revelations! 40
