Dispatched (Al-Mursalaat)
In the Name of Allah, the Merciful, the Most Merciful
CONSIDER these [messages,] sent forth in waves 1 And those that strike violently, 2 And scatter (things) far and wide; 3 And by the Verses (of the Quran) that separate the right from the wrong. 4 by those who bring down the reminder, 5 excusing or warning, 6 Surely what you are promised shall come to pass. 7 Then when the stars lose their lights; 8 When the heaven is cleft asunder; 9 and the mountains are blown away, 10 And when the apostles are gathered at their appointed time 11 For what Day was it postponed? 12 For the Day of Judgement. 13 And what could make thee conceive what that Day of Distinction will be? 14 Woe unto the repudiators on that day! 15 Did We not destroy the earlier peoples? 16 And We shall let them be followed by those of later times: 17 That is what We shall do to those who are guilty of crime. 18 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 19 Did We not create you from a weak water, 20 which We placed within a sure lodging 21 until an appointed time? 22 So We proportion it-- how well are We at proportioning (things). 23 Woe on that Day to those who reject the truth! 24 Did We not make the earth as a gathering place 25 the living and the dead? 26 and have We not set on it proud, firm mountains, and given you sweet water to drink? 27 Alas the woe that day for those who deny! 28 (It will be said unto them:) Depart unto that (doom) which ye used to deny; 29 Walk on to the covering having three branches, 30 wherein there is neither shade, nor freeing from the blazing flames 31 it indeed throws up sparks like castles, 32 as black camels. 33 Woe that day unto those who cry it lies! 34 This is the day on which they shall not speak, 35 Nor will they be given permission to present excuses. 36 Ah woe, that Day, to the Rejecters of Truth! 37 That will be a Day of Decision! We have brought you and the men of old together! 38 So if you have any ploy, try it against Me! 39 Woe on that Day to those who belied it! 40
